Kira Kira Art Market 03 Experience!

This year I had the pleasure to join boothing Kira Kira Art Market 3! I joined the previous event with my boothmate Neko Fingerprint. This time the theme is Matsuri!

I feel Kira Kira Art Market is still one of the most lovely event for creators I’ve joined in Jakarta. It’s a curated event with max 2 artists per table, organized by artists as well and having partnership booths with printing services, art supplies, and cutting machine stores.

Honestly I was caught off guard when we actually got some very cute merch pack from the crew, and seeing the information organization and promotion posts they made for us, I just feel loved and well taken care of 😭💦 Thank you KKAM team!

Let me showcase the merch pack we received here!

We got this cute keychain with spinning part thing from Tamago Studio (who also made cute 3D printing figures of the mascots! Too bad I didn’t manage to get one) – I’m sorry I don’t explain it well so please check the video, it’s so adorable! 💗 We got mini sticker sheets of the mascots as well printed by Oh Print, creator nametag, and sticker sheet for the stamp rally. They come in a nice plastic bag labeled with my artist name that I find very useful to keep in the merch I got for the day!

I made some sticker freebies featuring the event’s mascots Kari and Furi, chilling out together with my mascots Kokoba and Ayayam!

I also got some custom Kokoba-shaped namecards as gift from Asaba printing shop, one of the event’s partners – and Kokoba shaped cookies I commissioned from Caramelhouse.id

I ran out of enough freebies on the second day though 😭 I wished I could give out more when hanging out to drop by to other artists’ booths. Next time I’ll try to prepare better!

Since this event’s theme is matsuri or based on Japanese festivals, me and my boothmate Kirara made a new collab merch – clear sticker sheets!

The idea is you can mix and match the characters with the festival themed props to put on their hands, and since the border is transparent instead of typical sticker white border the stickers look more blending in with each other! These sticker sheets are available in my Tokopedia or Kirara’s Tokopedia shop – or can check out in our event booths!

Last event was located in Ad Premier ballroom, and this time in Grand Hermina ballroom. Not to be confused with the hospital, this ballroom is connected to Aston Kemayoran hotel in its 26th floor.

Food and beverages booths are easily accessible in front of the booths hall area – a lot of the F&B tenants are also collaborating with artists and having promos for booth creators, which are refreshing to see compared to usual F&B tenants in art markets I usually see!

@devpotata Updating my stickers book collection after Kira Kira Art Market event! ♥️ So many amazing artists and had a fun time there! . . . #kirakiraartmarket #bukustiker #stickerbook #stickers #sticker #stiker ♬ ALMOST HOME - Mad Adix, Marc Steinmeier

Here’s our booth setup for Kira Kira Art Market! Kirara added some matsuri-themed lanterns and character printouts to decorate our booth more 😆 I’m very thankful for her assistance throughout the event and being my booth partner once again. Do check out Kirara’s cute work in her account!

I greatly appreciate the good times in KKAM – my back may hurt but my heart feel warm 🤣 I can feel the crew’s care and hard work in preparing the event to be a comfortable experience for tenants and visitors, and I had fun dropping by to chat with fellow artists – I hope I wasn’t being too socially awkward though, I tried 😭💦but it’s nice that the days weren’t too fully crowded and busy that we still get to chill and enjoy the day.

Here are some of the gifts, trades, and freebies I received during Kira Kira Art Market – one of my favorite thing like last event is to collect the event’s mascot themed freebies from various artists! Most of them are stickers so I really enjoy updating my sticker book collection with it!

Since tenants are not allowed to sell merch of the event’s mascots (the event has their own official merch featuring the mascots), a lot of the artists made their own freebies version to trade or gift away. It’s really fun to see everyone’s ideas to adapt the mascots in their own style! Here’s a showcase of the stuff I got as freebies, gifts, shopping spree and more!

I’m glad that in this event I get to interact more with visitors as well – to chat and see their reactions to my work, or seeing people consulting with each other which one to buy or getting gifts for their friends or family, people who said they recognized my Kokoba character and those who visited to say hi, bought my merch and gave me gifts – those kind of interactions give me the motivation to keep on going to try for another event and to keep on creating!

Thank you so much for everyone who visited my booth and gave me your support, I really appreciate it. I’m thankful for my friends who visited the booth and helped me with setting up and loading out the decor before and after the event and helping stand by the booth when I need to leave the booth, I feel with their help it was the speediest booth setup in my whole booth career 🤣

Here’s cheers hoping the best for next Kira Kira Art Market and hope I can join in the next one again! My next event will be Comifuro 19 next month (can check out my CF catalog here) – quite a short time to prepare one event after another so I may not be able to add new merch designs and restock all my previous merch unfortunately… but I’ll do my best with what I can!

Hope to see you at next events and stay tuned for future updates! Thanks for reading this far and have a nice day!
