Days to Comifuro XXI Prep!

Trips and Stuff

October was a packed month for me with trips, weddings (not mine – just to clarify lmao), work stuff, and events to attend! While I didn’t get to prepare as much for booths stuff, I’m still excited to share some new things I worked on for this Comifuro and I was happy to get to spend time with my close ones.

One of the most memorable thing was I get to do a funny cosplay for Arcane Alley with the gang. We decided to try cosplaying the Baguette costume from Clair Obscur Expedition 33 – it seemed pretty simple right? I’d like to imagine I can dress up my baby mascots for Halloween too – like Kokoba as Monoco and Ayayam as Noco! Trick or treat! (Well we don’t really do trick or treating here but it was an idea alright haha)

Technically we worked it out somehow though unfortunately my hat was too small so it kept slipping off (bobby pins were working hard to grab it on for dear life lmao) and I wasn’t used to use suspenders so it felt kinda scuff. It was the first time I had people asking to take pictures with me since I was in costume so I was pretty embarrassed, but since I wasn’t on my own it’s also a fun experience!

These past few weeks I went on a trip to Japan – which I plan to dedicate a separate post for that since it was a lot of fun and I want to document it more properly, so more on that later. I wanted to get my hands into drawing and documenting my travel more. I get to draw a doodle about my Thailand trip as above as an example of something I want to try to make more of.

I recently went on a trip to Thailand and I went on an inhaler shopping spree to try out different ones for me and souvenirs too. I got people warning me after I come back about the news on the faulty batch of inhalers, but thankfully it wasn’t the one I got! Thank you for everyone concerned for me about it 🙏🏼 I guess I made it a point for people to associate me with it considering how many inhalers I brought back and showed them :p

Comifuro XXI Preps!

For those visiting Comifuro and likes collecting cute stamps, you can check out this stamp side quest thread by dailylouisbella! It consists of lists of booths with artists that provide stamps you can borrow to use to stamp your own notebook so you can have your own fun collection! I also will provide my stamps – either the logo or the Kokoba one, you can choose and no need for minimum purchase though it’ll be greatly appreciated! I hope I can go around the other booths to collect the stamps!

I did a tiny upgrade for my booth display with a new signboard! This sign is 3D printed by Tosukagarage – it has this part at the top that makes it easily click to my grid display so I don’t have to mess around with glues or adhesives anymore and it’s pretty sturdy. Hopefully it will make it easier to spot my booth! The Kokoba display will still be around in other ways too!

For some new merch – I get to draw some of my favorite heroines from One Piece series! It’s one of my favorite series for a long time, but somehow I didn’t draw much of it so I feel I want to get back to it. Recently I saw the TCG released a heroine series pack and I heard there’ll be adaptation anime of the heroines themed novels, so it inspired me to draw some of my favorite ladies! I made these into glitter stickers and keychains in candy bag packagings.

I choose to draw Nami, Robin, and Uta for now – I was thinking to add more of my other favorites like Perona and Vivi, but it was tight timing to get them printed so I will keep the ideas for next time. This was fun to draw!

I also added two new Nikke stickers – Nayuta and Siren! The game’s story is cooking so hard recently with the latest anniversary and event updates, it felt like the hype for Avengers Infinity War movie for me hahaha. The emotional roller coaster reading it man! I want to know more of what’ll happen next! It seems I’ll still be around the Nikke fandom for awhile, we’ll see what other characters I can get to draw next!

There’s also another piece I was working on and wanted to post on Cyrene banner release day – but it seems it’ll be another work in progress that may or may not see tomorrow. Her outfit has lots of pretty details and I want to make her look beautiful so I haven’t figured that out yet so it might take awhile hahaha, we’ll see how it goes but anyway here’s the work in progress!

This weekend I’ll be boothing once more in Comifuro with my Mbol Circle gang – my booth will be at table C-20 for both days so feel free to drop by! For catalogs you can check my order page – booking for pickup close at 11 Nov!

For next year I’ve been thinking to take it a bit slower with boothing – so I may be only doing one Comifuro in a year instead of both in the same year, and be more selective of the booth events I want to take. I’d like to take more time to develop the merch lineup I want to bring since I want to retire and revise some items, and spend more time doing other things like reopening commissions and catching up streaming. Hopefully it all works out, wishing all the best!

Thank you for reading and have a nice day! For those planning to come to Comifuro – hope to see you there!
